Sarah + Josh

Sarah + Josh came to me with a clear vision of their vibe: they wanted an elegant space with fun, playful flowers. How flowers might fit into that vision they weren’t quite sure. Luckily, I had plenty of ideas for them! After we decided we were a good fit for each other, Sarah + Josh took several months to ponder their color palette and individual elements, and we came back together for a design meeting closer to their big day.

After going back and forth with different ideas, we landed on a pair of floral + greenery pillars for the outdoor ceremony space that we moved inside for the reception and a lush garland for their long, 88 person dinner table with bud vases of fluffy local blooms at almost every place setting.

The Minneapolis Institute of Art is one of my favorite wedding venues we’ve flowered at thus far—the courtyard is a beautifully wooded + shady space for an intimate ceremony, the amazingly tall ceilings and marble floors of the Jade Corridor is a stunning + memorable reception space, and something about returning at the end of the night to clean up and walking through the empty museum is mesmerizing.

The day went off without a hitch, despite being the busiest wedding day of our season, no doubt thanks to the gals at Rosetree Events! It also helps that S + J were incredibly easy-going throughout the wedding planning process, including in the hours before they said “I do!” I feel honored they chose us to flower for them, and I wish them the happiest of lives together.
