Dahlia-filled wedding at a summer camp

Margot + Seth were a dreamy Fireweed couple: they wanted rich colors, prioritized their favorite parts of a wedding and ditched the rest, and got married in dahlia season (just kidding about that last one…maybe). They also rented out a summer camp for the weekend and filled their celebration with fun events and their favorite people. What a party!

Margot + Seth’s early-September wedding day was chilly in the morning and warm in the afternoon—Minnesota was really showing off her perfect fall weather. Since it was high time for flowers in MN, almost every single stem (seriously, all but 2 bunches) was sourced from flower farmers within a couple hours of the Twin Cities, via our favorite local flower wholesaler. We used all my favorite late-summer blooms: zinnias, celosia, lisianthus, and tons of dahlias. After chatting a lot about color leading up to the wedding with M + S, I think we nailed their vibrant, seasonally-inspired palette!

One of my favorite things about their wedding was Margot + Seth’s chuppah. Margot’s dad made the structure, and the canopy was crocheted by her great-grandmother for another family member’s wedding. I’m a sucker for intergenerational keepsakes, so this felt extremely special. How lucky we were to get to adorn this beautiful piece with flowers!

It was such a joy to flower for Margot + Seth. They were both present on every call we had, and I loved getting to know them a little better before their big day. It was so evident how much M + S are loved by their friends and family, who attended their wedding from all over the country. I’ll be dreaming of this special day for a long time!
